Nigerian rapper, singer, and producer, Jesse Garba Abaga aka Jesse Jagz, has announced May 29 as the release date of his fifth album.
Jesse Jagz recently made the announcement on popular microblogging site, Twitter, on May 20.
Although it is unconfirmed, sources close to the rapper are touting the album title as ‘Garba’.
36-year-old Jesse Jagz’s fifth album is coming three years after the release of his fourth album, ‘Odysseus’ in 2017. The younger brother to Jude MI Abaga has been off the music scene for a while.
Jesse Jagz signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 and went on to release his debut studio album, ‘Jag of All Tradez,’ in the same year.
In 2013, he voluntarily exited Chocolate City and announced the launch of his independent outfit Jagz Nation. He went on to release his second studio album ‘Jagz Nation, Vol.1. Thy Nation Come’ in 201 and was supported by the singles that include ‘Redemption,’ ‘Bad Girl,’ ‘Sex & Scotch’ and ‘God on the Mic’.
His third studio album ‘Jagz Nation Vol. 2: Royal Niger Company’ was released in 2014. He returned to Chocolate City in 2015 but left the label prior to releasing his fourth studio album.
